While doing the configuration I encountered the error in the Gitlab Webhooks Request:
SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=error: certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate).
The problem is, that Gitlab (and openssl verify) need the full chain to verify the certificate.
Using cert.pem is not enough.
